Jody Hamilton, "The Masked Assassin"
Founder of Deep South Wrestling
Since 1986 the Hamilton family has been promoting professional wrestling in the Atlanta area in part with Ted Turner's World Championship Wrestling, Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment, and as an independent wrestling company.
With a resurgence in 2022 - complete with 5 sold out shows in both the Grant Park and Little Five Points neighborhoods - DSW has become the standard for excellence in Southeast wrestling.
A Legacy Passed Down
Jody Hamilton wrestled as one half of The Masked Assassins before turning promoter, building Deep South into a fixture of Georgia wrestling long before "independent wrestling" was a scene. Today it's kept alive by his son, WWE/WCW Legend, Nick Patrick, who shares his family's legacy of hard work, strong character, and a good heart with rising stars of the industry.
Since the 2022 relaunch, that legacy has found a new audience: raucous crowds throughout Atlanta, and a shoutout from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as a genuine local resurgence story.
With 30+ years in the wrestling business, we know how to build energy and deliver engaging experiences that bring the people back for more. Since our return, DSW has created a phenomenon in the Grant Park and Little Five Points neighborhoods, and we get the same question every show: "When are you coming back?"
Today, it's all about spectacle, acrobatics, and big, bold, diverse characters — a concept we call "unabashed entertainment." DSW is committed to providing this kind of pro wrestling entertainment to people of all backgrounds, for absolutely free.
